Every image that is submitted to us is assessed for suitability by our professional retouchers here in the UK. If there are any issues with the base image, we will ask for it to be retaken. This is a key step at the start of the process which ensures the resulting virtual headshots are of the highest standard possible.
Base Image Upscaling
We are the only virtual headshot provider that upscales base images to the highest level possible as part of our process. This step takes relatively low resolution camera-shot images and generates new pixels, which vastly increases the quality of the image before we begin turning it into a finished virtual professional headshot.
Retouched By Hand In the UK
Our clipping (cutting out) and retouch process is carried out entirely by hand. We don’t use any AI tools, and every image is worked on individually. No bulk editing! When a user uploads their image, they can even make personalised requests for the retoucher who will be working on their image!

Absolutely! The sample images you see on this page are actual virtual headshots taken on mobile phones. Any fairly modern (released in the last five years) mobile is capable of taking a high enough quality image for us to turn your photo into a professional headshot. For images taken on older devices, we use cutting edge technology to upscale the photograph before working on the retouch.
Do you use AI to retouch virtual headshots?
Our virtual headshots are all hand retouched by our award-winning in-house team of retouchers here in the UK. They go through the exact same process as headshots that we have taken in person.
Are virtual headshot studios for events easy to organise?
Our virtual headshot studios for events are incredibly easy to arrange. We will provide you with a QR code in advance of your event that can be printed onto the side of your stand, or anywhere else for that matter. Prior to the event we will agree on the background to be used. Then, on the day of the event, as people upload their selfies to us, they are retouched and emailed back to them, ready to be uploaded to their social media profiles.

There is an initial set up fee of £595 for our virtual headshot studios- and then it works on a pay-as-you-go basis. The more people that use the studio, the cheaper the virtual headshots get.
For example, if you ordered a virtual headshot booth for an event and 150 people used it, the cost to you would be £595 for the initial set up and then £2,250 for the virtual headshots produced.

No! An AI generated headshot is not an actual picture- it is an image generated by a computer using several images of you. Our virtual headshots are crafted from original selfies, meaning they are true, genuine images of you.
