How do you make animated headshots?
Animated team headshots require multiple frames of each team member. We either capture these in an in-person staff headshot photography sessions or this can also be acheived using our virtual headshot service.
Once we have the frames for each person, we fully retouch each one and remove the background. We then place the images against whatever background you wish (we send various mockups prior to commencing work to agree on the best style for your brand).
Generally, we use three or four frames per person, but this can be any number you wish. The final animated files are exported to your specific size and dimension requirements and delivered to you via a download link.
How long do animated headshots take to produce?
Once we have agreed on the style, confirmed output dimensions and have everyone’s images on hand, the process is quite quick. A team of 50 people takes around one week to produce. If you are in a hurry or have a pressing deadline such as a website launch that you need the images for, just let us know and we will see if we can produce them any quicker for you.
How do I make our animated headshots play when a cursor hovers over them?
This is done simply by displaying a static headshot which then changes to the animated headshot using a short piece of code in your webpage design. We are unable to provide you with this code, but your website manager will be able to carry out this part for you and it is quite a simple task.

The most common usage for animated team headshots is on your company ‘Meet The Team’ page. They can also be used in email signatures and blog posts.
