Personal Branding FAQ
What is included in the personal brand photography packages?
First and foremost, you get James. James is a multi award-winning photographer that, over the last two decades, has been comissioned to work in over fifty countries. Prior to the shoot, you will have a consultation with James to discuss your goals, outfits, location and style of the images. Depending on the package you choose, you will receive between 200-1000 images after your personal branding session. There is also a varying number of retouched images included, again, the number of these depends on which package you choose. Images will be delivered to you digitally within 48 hours of your session.
For the Standard and Premium packages, we also include some ‘brand content images’, which are illustrative images, not necessarily of you, which represent your brand and are useful for websites and socials.
I am not confident in front of a camera- should I still book?
First of all, if you’re camera shy, you’ve absolutely found your photographer! James is a specialist in working with people who are camera shy and directing them to get the best out of every session he shoots. If you take a look at our Google reviews, you will see a lot of mentions about this! James has a very unique style of direction, that is born out of over two decades of experience photographing people that don’t like being photographed! If you’d like more reassurance, or to discuss this directly with James, please do get in touch.
Where do personal branding photoshoots take place?
Every shoot is different, and we will discuss the best location for your session with you prior to booking. For some, this may be at their place of work or home, for others it might be a public venue or rural location. The location we choose will be one that compliments your style and the story we’re trying to tell with the photographs. Please note, that if you would like to shoot at a location which requires permission, you must organise this.
Will my photographs be edited?
All of our personal brand photography packages include a number of edited, or retouched, images along with all of the unedited images. We can retouch the finished images as little or as much as you like, but we generally advise on what we call a ‘natural’ retouch. If the photographs are too heavily edited, they may lose some of their authenticity and therefore defeat the object of the personal brand shoot.
What happens if the weather is bad?
This is one of the pitfalls of location photography! If your shoot is outdoors (which most personal branding shoots are at least partially) and the weather forecast is poor, we will contact you to see if you would like to reschedule. There are no charges for rescheduling due to bad weather, and we will simply move you to another slot in the diary.
What should I wear for my personal brand shoot?
Again, this varies from shoot to shoot- there is no set outfit guide as this wouldn’t be true to you. We will discuss outfits prior to your session. Most of our personal brand clients choose to talk about this via WhatsApp (so that you can easily send photos of the outfits you were thinking of) with James in the run up to the shoot.
