Our Studio

Our studio is located just off the A45 in Northamptonshire, a few minutes down the road from Rushden Lakes Shopping Centre. We have plenty of parking right outside the studio and have an upstairs seating area with changing facilities. With over 700 sq ft of space, the studio is fully equipped with strobe and continuous lighting. We have a good range of seamless paper and hand painted canvas backdrops.

Your Session

Whether it’s your first professional headshot or your fiftieth, my aim is exactly the same: to create an environment where you can stop thinking about the camera and simply be yourself.

We’ll explore a variety of expressions, looks and wardrobe changes without rushing. I’ll guide you throughout the session, helping you discover images that feel natural, truthful and representative of the roles you’re right for.

By the end, you’ll have a gallery with genuine range—not because you’ve been asked to “pull faces”, but because we’ve created an atmosphere where different sides of your personality naturally emerge.

Headshot Company offers three actors headshot photography packages. All of our actors headshot sessions take place in our Northamptonshire photography studio. Our packages are designed to cover most casting requirements, however, if you have any specific requirements that are not covered in one of our packages then please get in touch and we would be happy to put together a bespoke actors headshot package for you. Our actors headshot packages include two, four or ten fully retouched images. Additional retouched images are charged at £20/image.

Intro To Camera Videos

An ‘Intro to Camera’ video is a highly effective tool that can be used on platforms such as Star Now and gives casting directors a better idea of how you come across on camera. Currently, it is not uncommon for actors to self-shoot their intro to camera videos, but this is a trend we think will soon change, as more and more actors will be looking to present themselves in as professional a manner as possible.

These can be added to any of our actors headshot packages as a bolt on, or booked as a standalone video shoot.

ACTORS HEADSHOTS FAQ

Where is your studio?

Our studio is located in Raunds, Northamptonshire- we’re a few minutes down the road from Rushden Lakes Shopping Centre. The studio is at the Enterprise Centre and when you drive in, we’re on the right hand side at unit number 80. There’s plenty of parking.

How much do actors headshots cost?

Our actors headshot packages start from just £150+VAT and full details of our packages and what’s included can be found here. All of our packages include a certain amount of retouched images, and you have the option to purchase additional retouches at £20 per image.

I'm new to this and a little nervous

This is completely normal, so please don’t worry. Our photographers are hugely experienced and the vast majority of people that we photograph don’t enjoy the process of having their headshots taken. We’re experts in getting you to feel relaxed and comfortable during your session.

What should I bring to wear to my actors headshot session?

When you’re booked in, we will send you a guide which includes information on what to bring along with you. We advise everyone to come with more than enough, as before your session your photographer will go through your outfits and pick out whats going to work best. The guide also includes advice on hair/makeup.

Do you have a variety of backdrops?

Yes! We have a wide range of backdrops that work for different skin tones/hair colours and outfits. Our backdrops include high quality paper rolls and we have a selection of beautiful hand painted canvas backdrops that we produce in-house. Before your session, you and your photographer will pick out what backdrops are going to work best for your particular session and you will be photographed against a few different types of backdrop.

When will I get my headshots?

On the same day of your shoot, you will recieve a contact sheet with all of your images. From here you can select your favourite images for retouch and order any additional retouches. At this stage, you can also make specific requests for your retoucher. After we’ve received your selects, please allow two working days until you receive your finished images.
