Authors Headshot Photography FAQ
Authors Headshot Photography FAQ
What should I wear for my authors headshot photo session?
James will discuss this with you prior to the session. But generally we sugest attire that reflects your personal brand and the message you convey. Opt for professional clothing that fits well and makes you feel confident. Solid, neutral colors often work best, as they allow the focus to remain on you. We’ll ask you to bring a few different options to your session so we can discuss and choose the best looks together and mix things up a bit!
Do you offer hair and makeup services?
This isn’t a service that we offer ourselves, but we do have a network of hair and make up artists that we recommend around the UK. This is of course subject to availability.
What kind of background options do you have?
We have a stock of various backgrounds that can be used for your Keynote Speaker Headshot Photography session. Prior to your session, James will discuss the best options with you. If you would like to use a very specific brand colour, this is achieved by shooting the images against a plain background, which can be changed to your brand colour as part of the retouch process at no extra cost.
How long does an authors headshot photography session typically last?
An authors headshot session with James lasts for around one hour. This allows enough time for you to relax in to the session, and also gives you enough time to change outfits. You have the option to extend the duration of the session for a fee, but we can shoot a lot in one hour!
Will my images be edited?
Yes, our one hour in studio Keynote Speaker Headshot Photography package includes two fully retouched images. You can also purchase additional retouches for £20/image.
My publisher has requested a headshot but they need it quickly- what is the turnaround time?
We understand the importance of timely delivery and tight deadlines publishers are working to. Our standard turnaround time for edited images is two business days. However, we offer expedited services for urgent requests. Please let us know your deadline when booking, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs.
