Can a photo taken on a mobile phone look like a professional headshot?
Absolutely! The base images you see on this page are actual base images taken on mobile phones and turned into professional looking resume photos. Any fairly modern (released in the last five years) mobile device is capable of taking a high enough quality image for us to turn your photo into a professional looking image.
There are certain factors, such as lighting, that need to be considered, which is why we send you a free guide on how to take a base in the same way that we would if we were shooting in person.
We do recommend that you do not use your phone’s front facing camera and it’s best to avoid using web cams.
Do you use AI to retouch resume photos?
Our resume photos are all hand retouched by our award-winning in house team here in the UK. They go through the exact same process as photographs that we have taken in person.
What if I can't get a good enough photo?
Our guide tells you everything that needs to be done to ensure a high quality base image for your resume photo. But don’t worry, if you submit an image that isn’t good enough to be edited, we will let you know and tell you what needs to be done to fix the issue.
Can I choose any background for my resume photo?
Absolutely! You can choose any colour, opt to have us add shadow (so it looks like a real photographic backdrop) or we can use stock images. There are no limits as to what can be used in the background of your professional resume photo.
