Headshot Company offers three specialist headshot packages for child actors, models, and young performers. All of our sessions take place in our Northamptonshire studio, designed to provide a calm and focused environment for your child.

Our packages are carefully structured to meet the requirements of most casting and talent agencies. However, if you have specific needs—such as a portfolio update for a particular modeling campaign—please get in touch, and we would be happy to create a bespoke package for you.

Our standard packages include two, four, or ten fully retouched images, with additional images available at £20+vat per headshot.

Our studio is located just off the A45 in Northamptonshire, a few minutes down the road from Rushden Lakes Shopping Centre. We have plenty of parking right outside the studio and have an upstairs seating area with changing facilities. With over 700 sq ft of space, the studio is fully equipped with strobe and continuous lighting. We have a good range of seamless paper and hand painted canvas backdrops.

WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE FOR A SESSION?

We specialise in headshots for children aged 8 and over. At this age, young performers are usually able to take direction well and feel more comfortable in a studio environment. If you have a child slightly younger with professional experience, please get in touch to discuss their requirements.

DO I NEED TO STAY WITH MY CHILD DURING THE SHOOT?

Absolutely. We require a parent or legal guardian to be present in the studio throughout the entire session. Our studio is a calm, safe environment, and we find that having a familiar face nearby helps young talent feel more relaxed and confident in front of the lens.

ARE THESE HEADSHOTS SUITABLE FOR SPOTLIGHT?

Yes. We are experts in industry requirements. All our headshots are shot and edited to meet the specific standards required by Spotlight, as well as major UK acting and modeling agencies. We focus on natural light, authentic expressions, and “clean” edits that show your child’s true casting potential.

MY CHILD IS A LITTLE NERVOUS!

This is completely normal! Many young performers feel a bit of “camera-shyness” initially. Our photographers have over 20 years of experience and are experts at creating a low-pressure, calm atmosphere. We don’t rush; we take the time to let your child settle in so their natural personality can shine through.

WHAT SHOULD MY CHILD WEAR TO THE SESSION?

Once you’re booked, we’ll send you a guide on what to bring. We usually suggest bringing a variety of simple, solid-coloured tops (avoiding heavy patterns or large logos) so the focus remains entirely on their face. We’ll look through the outfits together at the start of the session to pick the ones that work best with our backdrops.

WHEN WILL WE RECEIVE THE HEADSHOTS?

You will receive a digital contact sheet of all the images on the same day as the shoot. Once you and your child (or their agent) have selected your favourites for retouching, please allow two working days for the final, high-resolution images to be delivered.

WHERE IS YOUR STUDIO?

Our studio is located in Raunds, Northamptonshire- we’re a few minutes down the road from Rushden Lakes Shopping Centre. The studio is at the Enterprise Centre and when you drive in, we’re on the right hand side at unit number 80. There’s plenty of parking.

HOW MUCH DO KIDS' HEADSHOTS COST?

Our kids’ headshot packages start from just £150+VAT. All of our packages include a certain amount of retouched images, and you have the option to purchase additional retouches at £20+vat per image.
