Headshot Company recently partnered with The Iluka Collective, a leading global mega-events agency, to deliver a comprehensive visual solution for their team. Conducted at Iluka’s London headquarters in Hampton Wick, this project focused on providing professional staff headshots and impactful corporate video content, all delivered through a highly efficient and integrated approach designed to work around their demanding global schedule.

The day began with staff headshots, where we deployed our signature high-volume instant delivery system. This innovative workflow is a game-changer for busy organisations: each individual received their proofs instantly via a private online gallery, allowing them to make their selections for retouching on the spot. This process significantly reduces the legwork for the organiser and drastically speeds up the entire project, with most selects received within 24 hours (our system even sends polite reminders for any outstanding choices!). For lighting, we utilised our go-to, highly effective one-light setup, a refined technique that delivers consistent, professional results while maintaining agility. It’s also super-flattering!

Once the team headshots were complete, we transformed the space to begin video production. Leveraging the same grip equipment and light modifier, we simply switched out the strobe light for a continuous COB light and swapped our lens to a 50mm f/1.8 to achieve a beautiful shallow depth of field, keeping the focus sharply on the subject. We also set up a second camera to capture an alternate view. This two-camera approach is crucial for dynamic visuals and provides essential flexibility in post-production, allowing us to seamlessly hide any pauses or stumbles in the edit, taking pressure off the person on camera. For crystal-clear audio, we relied on wireless Rode lavalier microphones.

Rather than rigid scripts, we opted for our proven method of using prompt questions. This encourages unscripted, organic responses, resulting in authentic and engaging video content. We guided each person to incorporate the question into their answer, ensuring context was always clear in the final edit. In post-production, we further enhanced the videos with engaging animated captions, which not only add a visual element but also make the content accessible for viewers watching without sound (a common scenario on social media). We also subtly included the Iluka logo as a branded watermark in the top corner of the video.

As always, the entire suite of headshots and the fully edited corporate video were turned around at lightning speed, delivered to The Iluka Collective within 48 hours. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive:
