American Express Staff Headshots

Headshot Company recently partnered with US-based financial services company, American Express to produce staff headshots of their team across three locations.

American Express employs over 6,000 people in the UK and wanted to offer their team members the chance to have a professional headshot taken, which could be used internally on Slack and also on social media platforms such as LinkedIn. Staff simply had to show up at the headshot booth on the day and within minutes they would receive a set of beautifully lit, high quality headshots from which they were able to choose one image each for retouching.

Over the course of each day, staff were invited to come to the headshot booth where our lead photographer, James, coached them through a mini headshot session. Some simple and subtle direction ensures that each person gets a flattering headshot they’ll be keen to use! We are capable of photographing 500 people per day and also take care of image distribution and file naming. After each person had been photographed, they receive an email immediately which gives them a link to a private gallery where they can view their headshots and choose their favourite image for retouching. Word quickly spread around the office that the headshots looked great and queues quickly formed and we were very popular all day! Retouched images were delivered at lightning speed- within 24 hours of the shoot. 

Staff headshot days are a great, highly engaging way to encourage staff into the office. A headshot day creates a bit of a buzz and having a professional headshot taken can be a fun experience- even for those that hate having their picture taken (which by the way is most people!). As well as the obvious things such as uniform images of a company’s human capital, there are quite a few other good reasons why your company should get staff headshots. It boosts confidence (we make everyone look great!), gives your team members a valuable asset and helps improve communication within your business.
