Discover how our agile, two-person crew delivered cinematic lighting and custom animations for Plowman Craven’s new B2B corporate video in a single day shoot.
Plowman Craven is one of the largest chartered geomatics and measurement surveying companies in the UK. For more than 60 years, they have specialised in digitising the physical environment using cutting-edge 3D laser scanning, Building Information Modelling (BIM), and drone (UAV) technology.
Having previously delivered a successful website header video for the company, we were pleased when they invited us back for a larger commission. This time, our brief was to produce an engaging corporate promo video for the launch of their innovative new software platform, Easl.
Launching a cutting-edge software platform like Easl requires a visual narrative that matches its innovation. Plowman Craven needed a promo video that felt premium, explained the software’s value clearly, and utilised authentic “talking head” insights from their team.
The project required a fast, highly efficient turnaround. The final video had an immovable deadline as it was commissioned specifically to anchor their exhibition stand at Digital Construction Week in London.
The quality of the filming and interviews was excellent, and the supporting footage was carefully selected to bring the content to life.

To pull this off without compromising on quality, we deployed a lean, highly coordinated two-person crew. By stripping away the bloat of a traditional large commercial film crew, we remained fast on our feet and highly adaptable.
Operating as a compact unit allowed us to move seamlessly between setups, maximise our filming window, and keep the client’s team completely at ease—ensuring we hit the exhibition deadline with time to spare.

Production: Multi-Camera, “Netflix-Style” Cinematic Interview Lighting
Because we only had a single day on-site and needed to shoot multi-camera interviews across two different locations, our lighting setups had to be incredibly high-end yet highly mobile.
We treated the talking-head interviews with a cinematic approach, utilising a super-soft main light complemented by strategic accent lighting to create depth and separation from the background. We custom-matched the background and separator lights to Plowman Craven’s exact corporate brand colors—a sophisticated technique that subtly embeds a company’s visual identity into every frame.
The result was a clean, “Netflix-style” look that immediately commands attention, whether viewed on a desktop or projected onto a massive screen at a busy trade show. You can watch the final video below:
A premium B2B corporate video requires a level of polish in post-production that matches the sophistication of the product it’s profiling. For the Easl launch, static talking heads weren't enough.
Post Production
A premium B2B corporate video requires a level of polish in post-production that matches the sophistication of the product it’s profiling. For the Easl launch, static talking heads weren’t enough. We created a sophisticated ‘hero’ product reveal shown very early in the video. This animation features a clean, high-end 3D render, similar in style to an “Apple product” advertisement. The laptop lid slowly lifts, revealing the Easl by Plowman Craven logo on the screen. Shown in the first 10 seconds, this element immediately establishes a premium, tech-forward tone and clearly introduces the software’s identity to the viewer.
To communicate key performance indicators without losing audience interest, we also animated the statistics. The figures dynamically “count up” to their final value, making these data-driven moments interesting and satisfying. We ensured these sections were perfectly on-brand by strictly using Plowman Craven’s corporate brand colors and typeface.
Even the captions received a high-end treatment. To ensure they were perfectly on-brand, we placed a block of Plowman Craven’s brand colour behind the text. They were then animated so the spoken words are highlighted as they are said, improving readability and viewer retention.
By integrating these tailored animation elements, we transformed what could have been a simple corporate video into a premium, engaging story that perfectly represented the innovative nature of the Easl platform.
