From multi-site staff headshots and international conference activations to corporate films, the strongest evidence of our work is how often clients ask us to do it again.

Awards are lovely. Testimonials matter. Recognisable logos can reassure people that you’ve operated at a certain level. But after more than a decade photographing and filming for organisations across the UK and Europe, we think the strongest endorsement is considerably simpler: being asked back.

A first booking begins with a promise. The second happens after the client has seen how you plan, how you respond when things change, how you treat their people and whether the finished work delivers what they needed.

We’re proud that many of our largest projects have grown from existing relationships. Some clients bring us back annually. Others ask us to reproduce the same experience across new offices, countries or events. Some originally booked us for photography and later trusted us with video—or began with a relatively simple brief that developed into something much larger.

Those repeat bookings have shaped Headshot Company into the business it is today. They have also taught us what organisations truly value from a long-term creative partner.

A second booking happens after the promise meets reality

A first booking can begin with a recommendation, a portfolio image or a well-written proposal. A repeat booking happens after the client has experienced everything that sits behind the finished work.

They’ve seen how clearly the project was planned, how smoothly the day ran and how their people were treated. They know whether the first person photographed received the same care and attention as the last. They’ve experienced the communication before the shoot, the response when plans changed and the delivery afterwards.

For the client, returning to a trusted supplier removes uncertainty. They don’t need to explain their standards again or wonder how the photographer will interact with hundreds of employees, senior stakeholders or event attendees. The working relationship already exists—and each successful project makes the next one easier.

Our headshot setup at BBC Studios Showcase (image above) was our third assignment for BBC Studios. The surroundings, audience and practical requirements were different, but the expectation remained the same: deliver high-quality, consistent work while making the experience straightforward for everyone involved.

That is what being asked back represents. It isn’t simply another date in the diary; it is confirmation that the original promise survived contact with reality.

Our ongoing work with Imperial College London has included everything from carefully directed individual portraits to extremely high-volume photography days with tightly scheduled groups.

High Volume Student Headshots

Consistency becomes more valuable as a project grows

Consistency is relatively straightforward when photographing one person. It becomes considerably more demanding when a project involves hundreds—or thousands—of people across different dates, departments, offices or countries.

The photographs need to feel as though they belong together, even when the people, locations and practical circumstances change. Lighting, composition and retouching all matter, but so does the experience itself. Every person should receive the same welcome, direction and attention, whether they are photographed at the beginning of the first day or towards the end of the final session.

Our ongoing work with Imperial College London has included everything from carefully directed individual portraits to extremely high-volume photography days with tightly scheduled groups. Each project has presented a slightly different logistical challenge, but the standard expected of the finished photography—and the experience around it—has remained constant.

Returning to the same photography team means that existing work can be extended rather than reinvented. We already understand the visual approach, the practical expectations and how the organisation needs the finished images delivered. That familiarity allows new projects to move more quickly while maintaining continuity with everything that came before.

Conference Headshots AWS Amstersdam Crowdstrike Fal.Con

Our branded on-booth headshot experience for AWS at RAI Amsterdam—part of a repeat relationship that has also taken us to Fira Barcelona for major events across Europe.

The client shouldn’t have to carry the complexity

Large photography projects rarely involve photography alone. There may be international travel, venue access, branding, registration, queue management, image selection, retouching and delivery to coordinate—often while the client is simultaneously responsible for an entire conference or company-wide programme.

Our job is to understand that complexity without allowing it to become the client’s burden.

For AWS, that has meant returning to Barcelona for Fal.Con Europe and delivering a branded headshot activation within one of the continent’s largest conference venues. Our next visit will be the third consecutive year we have delivered the experience, giving the client a team that already understands the event, the audience and the standard required.

“I have worked with James and Donna from Headshot Company for multiple years at our most important events across Europe. Their on-booth headshot experience is seamless and booth visitors are thrilled. Thanks to Headshot Company, our booth traffic and attendee engagement has increased exponentially. They are extremely professional, efficiently handle last-minute changes, and I can’t wait to work with them at our next event.”

— AWS Events Team

Remote has also brought us back to provide headshots at its events. Once the relationship has been established, discussions can move beyond whether we are capable of delivering and towards how we can make the next activation even better.

That is where a trusted supplier becomes particularly valuable. The client knows the team can arrive, take ownership of the details and deliver the experience without creating another problem for the organiser to manage.

Behind the scenes: filming for Brook Green Supply

Repeat business doesn’t always mean repeating the same brief

Sometimes a client returns because they need the same service delivered for a new group, location or event. In other cases, the original project becomes the foundation for something new.

Brook Green Supply initially approached us for a complete visual overhaul of its digital presence. Rather than appointing separate suppliers, the company trusted us to deliver the entire project: five corporate films, staff headshots for more than 200 employees and an extensive library of corporate lifestyle photography.

Across a streamlined multi-day production, we filmed 17 staff interviews, photographed 180 employees in person and used our virtual headshot service to include a further 30 people who were unable to attend. The result was a consistent bank of photography and video spanning the company’s website, recruitment content, employee profiles and wider communications.

Brook Green’s marketing team told us that the finished work had made “a huge impact”, presenting the brand in a polished, modern and authentic way. Following the success of that original photography-and-video project, Brook Green appointed us again—this time specifically for a standalone corporate video production focused on the people, roles and career journeys within the business.

That progression is particularly rewarding. We are no longer beginning with introductions and promises; we already understand the organisation, its people and the way it wants to present itself. The client knows how we plan, communicate and deliver. The conversation can move straight towards what we should create next.

You can explore the photography, films and complete production process in our Brook Green Supply photo and video case study.

What clients are really booking again

The projects may look very different, but the reasons clients return are remarkably consistent.

American Express has trusted us to photograph thousands of people across multiple sites and dates. Chelsea FC has returned to us for further photography assignments. AWS has taken our branded headshot experience to major events across Europe, while BBC Studios, Imperial College London, Remote and Brook Green Supply have all invited us back after seeing how we work first-hand.

Each repeat booking has its own brief, audience and practical challenges. What those organisations are booking again, however, is more than a particular set of photographs or films.

They are booking the confidence that the project will be properly planned. That we will adapt when circumstances change. That the experience will reflect well on their organisation—and that every person who steps in front of our cameras will be treated with the same care, whether they are a senior leader, an employee, a student or a conference attendee.

They are also booking a team that understands how to deliver at scale without allowing the work to become impersonal.

That balance has always mattered to us: big enough to deliver for major organisations; personal enough to give every individual a great experience.

Being asked back is never something we take for granted. It is the result of the work itself, but also of everything surrounding it: the preparation, the communication, the flexibility and the trust built along the way.

For us, there is no stronger endorsement.
