Senior Leader Headshots for Mars Wrigley

Following the success of our previous shoot for Mars Wrigley at a team off-site in Richmond, we were thrilled to be invited to their Paddington Central HQ by a different department via an internal recommendation.

While our first project for Mars at the Richmond Harbour Hotel required uniform corporate headshots utilising Mars’ signature blue brand colour, this new department had entirely different operational needs. They were looking to refresh the assets for their Senior Leader community in London, requiring maximum versatility. This wasn’t just a standard management team; the shoot included some of the organisation’s most senior global figures and executive leaders.

Because these top-tier executives frequently represent the brand across major global channels, they needed a true “two-in-one” solution: a crisp, commercial studio portrait for internal directories, alongside a natural, editorial-style environmental portrait for press releases, PR campaigns, and media features.

With a packed schedule of high-profile executives, the core challenge was time. Senior global leaders do not have time to linger, meaning we had to deliver two distinct, premium looks for each individual—and we had to do it incredibly fast.

To respect the packed diaries of Mars Wrigley’s executive team, we needed a setup that was as efficient as it was high-end. We took over the bright, modern kitchen and transformed it into a dual-purpose studio.

To bring a subtle layer of brand storytelling to the environmental portraits, we filled the background shelves with a few familiar favourites from the Mars portfolio, including Ben’s Original. Once we dialled in the lighting to capture the environmental headshots, we set up a secondary, neutral studio backdrop and dedicated lighting rig immediately next to it.

By running two setups side by side, we created an effortless flow- each leader stepped into the kitchen scene first. Here, we captured a relaxed, editorial portrait where the backdrop gently blurred out into soft textures, keeping the focus entirely on their personality. Then, as soon as we had the shots we needed, each person simply pivoted a few steps over to the studio background. Within seconds, we captured a classic, commercial corporate profile with zero adjustments to our gear.
